Raspberry Jam

It's that time of year again!!! We ordered raspberries, pears, and peaches from a gal here that gets them from Utah. Oooohhhhh so yummy!!! Not at all like the ones you buy in the store. Anyway...the raspberries came in first. Last year we cooked them down and turned it into jam. This year we decided to try the freezer method of canning jam. We've heard it tastes fresher, so much more yummy, and easier than the cooking method. We did it and I don't think we'll do the cooking method again unless we don't have room in the freezer. Sooooo delicious!!!

My 3rd Grader's Wedding Reception

I got an invitation from one of my old 3rd graders to attend her wedding reception. She was in my very first class I taught, and what an awesome first year that was. I had some great kids, I do every year. I'm getting old :( I believe that she, Natalli Smith, graduated 2 years ago. So young and beautiful. I'm so VERY proud of her for making good choices in her life and being able to get married in the temple.

Slumber Party

I promised the Potterf girls that we could have a sleepover during the summer before school started, so we did. I had ALL 4 beautiful girls over. We watched movies, ate popcorn, played barbies, and played the Wii. We had a lot of fun. Went to bed around 11pm and heard Amanda up around 6am. Lovely!

California Vacation

We were going to go camping with some friends, but due to the monsoons taking over almost every evening...we decided that camping wouldn't be the best idea with small children. So....we went to California with Jake's brother Kyle and his family. They had a time share and let us come along for the vacation. We got a great deal on tickets to California Adventures and Disneyland with fast passes. So we spent ALL day and night there. We left Disneyland at like 12:15 in the morning.

On another day we went to a museum and the kids fell asleep in the car due to the late night at Disneyland. Kevin fell asleep with his foot propped up and a straw in between his toes.

Kyle's wife Meeya had her nieces from Korea come down for a long visit. Sumee is in the white jacket, and one of the twins (Sudeem) in the pink, and then Tori Kyle's daughter in the yellow.

We went to a dinosaur museum which was free on Wednesday. It was pretty cool inside.

Girls Night

I had another girls night at our house tonight. We had lots of fun!! We played Wii Rock Band and then SCUM. We had lots of yummie munchies too. Thanks ladies for coming!!!
