We put Zowie in swim lessons this summer with Mandy Bailey. She was awesome! Zowie showed no fear.
Zowie just wouldn't jump feet first. It was always a belly flop. Poor thing.
She wanted to jump off the divingboard when none of the other girls wanted to. Like I said, no fear!We woke up this morning and had Zowie search for her hidden Easter basket. She loved it!!! We went over to my parents in the afternoon, in between conference sessions, and had lunch and watched the last session. We also hid eggs so Zowie could find them. She really liked doing that. We didn't get to go over to my grandma's yesterday, but my cousin Toy gave Zowie a goody bag. Inside were some gummy teeth. I put them on Zowie and they were freakin' hillarious!!!! I laughed so hard and couldn't stop. They're bunny teeth.
After I showed her what she looked like, she then smiled.

Today we took Zowie to the temple, inside this time, to have her sealed to us for time and all eternity. What a spiritual day! I kept getting teary. I'm so relieved to know that we will be together for eternity, not just here in this life on earth.

My friend Valerie made this BEAUTIFUL temple dress for Zowie. She is so filled with talent in that area. She looked like a princess.

Our beautiful cake by CostcoWe took Zowie down to the temple in her blessing dress and took some pictures of her. What a beautiful day, and girl!!
Now that Zowie is officially adopted, we had her blessed in our church the following Sunday. Usually, they are blessed when they are babies, but obviously we couldn't do that. This is where they are given a name which she'll be know by on the records of our church and a blessing by her father. It was a beautiful blessing. Because she is older, I was able to sit with her on my lap while Jake and some friends and family gave her the blessing. My mom made her blessing dress. It was adorable and just perfect for Zowie.

Our Happy FamilyToday we went to the court house to officially adopt Zowie. She is now Zowie Elizabeth James!!!! What a nice experience. The judge was amazing!
